returning to blogging, and writing, and life in general, after some quiet time. mom to the kidlets, partner to mac, person to various and assorted menagerie, colleague to some wonderful academics, friend to some super-smart people who mostly don’t live anywhere near me anymore. learning to cope with my sorrow over my lost girls, generally stressed as i ease my way back into FT work after the kind of short maternity leave only america can provide,  trying to decide whether the return is worthwhile. working on getting my happy back. does it show?
